About Me

Nikkita – Registered Arts Therapist (ANZACATA)

Born and raised in Canada, Nikkita was encouraged from a young age to explore and express her creativity. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design, which laid the foundation for her artistic journey. After university, she traveled extensively, connecting with peers from around the world and gaining a deeper appreciation for diverse perspectives and experiences.

Eventually settling in Australia, Nikkita felt a strong calling to work in a field that allowed for deep, meaningful connection. She went on to complete a Master’s degree in Arts Therapy and has been a registered Arts Therapist with ANZACATA since 2020.

Nikkita supports a neurodiverse community, including children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced trauma or are navigating challenges related to mental health. Her compassionate, client-centered approach encourages individuals to access their innate creativity, providing a safe space for healing, growth, and self-expression.

With a deep belief in the transformative power of creativity, Nikkita is committed to helping others cultivate resilience, build self-awareness, and lead more fulfilling lives.

Outside of Nikkita’s therapeutic work, she is a visual artist primarily working with oil paints, often inspired by the world around her. She cherishes time with her two children, partner, and their big rescue dog—she feels most at home in the mountains, where creativity and connection come naturally.
